I made these for Easter and because I gave up all sweets for lent (yes that's right...ALL sweets!) This was super hard because I have a big sweet tooth, especially after eating a meal. I always need a little something something to cut the grease :P
I was really impressed at how easy this was and how good they tasted. The brownies are really rich and light all at the same time.

Pantry Necessities:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350' degrees.
In a medium bowl, beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, blend until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Gradually blend dry ingredients into butter/egg mixture. [if the batter seems too thick, you can add one more egg & blend]
Grease a 8in. square baking pan, a 9x13 pan is too big for this recipe. Pour mixture into pan, bake for 25 minutes - give or take. I usually set my timer for 5 minutes prior as I like my brownies a little gooier in the center! ENJOY!!!!
